Covid 19 Update

Highwood Golf_black on clear

If you feel any symptoms such as cough, headache, sore throat, fever or difficulty breathing PLEASE STAY HOME.

Be aware of our new operating procedures due to the worldwide pandemic. We are following the procedures put in place by AHS and the recommendations of our industry association NAGA. We ask for your flexibility and understanding at this time.

These protocols that are put in place will reduce infection risk of our staff and our members. The details of these protocols are subject to change as the situation develops, as we learn how to best execute the safety procedures and the restrictions are loosened. What will help the process for all involved is if our visitors always engage in social distancing and being mindful of what they touch. Perception is everything so let’s do our part in making sure our golf privileges remain.

Tee Times are available up to eight days in advance. You may book by telephone 403-652-3644 ext 231 or online at Same day bookings are only available by telephone. Be considerate and advise us if the amount of golfers in your group changes.

As much as possible, we appreciate payment by debit or credit card. Cash will still be accepted. Highwood golf carts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (our fleet is 80 carts and we are a very busy facility with an 18 hole course and a 9 hole course). Upon request, we will allow each individual golfer to have their own golf cart. Power carts and rikshas (pull carts) will be disinfected before each use.

Tee times are 9 minutes apart on the Highwood 18 course and 10 minutes apart on the Spitzee 9 course.

Practice Facility

The driving range and short game practice area are open. The range has 12 stalls and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reservations. Range balls are collected and disinfected daily. You may also use our hitting net adjacent to Heritage 1 tee box as a warm up. Use your own golf balls please.

The putting green by the clubhouse will be allowed to open. There will be 4 holes cut and your group will be permitted to putt if you stay in your own area to promote social distancing.

Playing Golf

Please arrive at the golf course no earlier than 30 minutes before your tee time. You may visit the pro shop to check-in and shop. Masks are NOT mandatory, but please use the hand sanitizer at the pro shop entrance before entering.

Be respectful of our staff as we work through these new procedures.

Be courteous and only touch the merchandise you are planning to purchase. Clothing is permitted to be tried on before purchase. If declining to purchase an item that was tried on, please notify our staff so we can isolate the applicable garments to eliminate contamination risk.

Unload your clubs and/or cart and load yourself on a power cart or rikshaw (if applicable) in the designated area. Our staff will not be permitted to touch your golf bag.

On course washrooms are open. You will be permitted to use the Foxes Den washroom on a person-by-person basis (two people at a time allowed into the clubhouse). Snack shack will operate under the same rules. Washrooms will be disinfected regularly. Golfers are encouraged to be proactive and have their own sanitizer or gloves when coming into the clubhouse to reduce infection risk.

No rakes or ball washers are put out. Garbage cans, benches, and sand bottles are in use. Do not touch the flag or pin. Gimmes will be encouraged.

In the event of the horn being blown for dangerous weather, please go directly to your vehicles to seek shelter. The clubhouse is not available for any large gatherings over the restaurant capacity.

After the round, head directly to your car, unload clubs and return power cart to the designated area beside the hut to the east of the bag drop area. Please remove garbage and recycling from your cart in the designated bins. There is no club storage, club cleaning or cart storage at this time.
